Spin + Recover is a two-part online series with Marianne exploring both the craft of working the pole and the care required to sustain a dancing body.
These sessions are rooted in sex worker knowledge, the kind of technique, efficiency, body awareness and recovery practices that are developed through doing the work. This is an opportunity to learn directly from a sex worker while making sure she is compensated for sharing knowledge you can only truly gain in the field.
September 2 • Spin Pole Surfing
Learn to linger, work with momentum, conserve energy and build the strength + stamina necessary for long stage sets. Expect beginner-friendly shapes and combinations with optional upside-down variations.
September 3 • P-Rehab: Recovery Stretch for Dancers
Turn the attention back toward the body with a full-body mobility, flexibility and recovery practice focused on the shoulders, hips, hamstrings, ankles and feet.
And your registration reaches beyond your own screen.
Every paid registration helps sponsor access for a dancer in The $tripped Project’s community of 150+ sponsored dancers.
Once we reach 5 paid registrations, the series will be unlocked for our entire sponsored dancer community at no cost to them.
So your ticket does three things at once: you learn, a sex worker is paid for her knowledge, and dancers who may not currently have the means to purchase class gain access too.
